FEDMAP Project Summary
Three-Dimensional Geologic Maps and Visualization
To develop new ways of presenting and using 3-D geologic maps - the way of the future.
Beginning first in the San Francisco Bay area, this project is producing quantitative 3-dimensional geologic maps that can be used to assist decision making for earthquake hazards mitigation, ground-water resource management, and toxic contaminant dispersion.
Hazards (Landslides), Hazards (Earthquakes), Resources (Water)
