Government Performance and Results Act
The Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA) was enacted to hold Federal agencies accountable for achieving program results; to improve internal management, program effectiveness, public accountability, and delivery of services; and to provide information on program effectiveness and efficiency.
NCGMP annual GPRA measures:
- Maintenance of one long-term data collection (the National Geologic Map Database) by counting the percent of U.S. surface area with geologic map coverage, the number of annual gigabytes collected, and the cumulative gigabytes managed.
- Delivery of systematic analyses and investigations, which are the scientific publications that are generated each year through FEDMAP funding.
- Offering of 10 formal workshops or training for NCGMP customers
