Issues for NCGMP Advisory Committee to Consider:

  • NCGMP PART measures and answers.
  • Reauthorization of Mapping Act.
  • Proposed changes to Mapping Act.
  • Substitution of NPS and NSF for EPA and OSTP on FACA.
  • Content of new NCGMP 5-year Program Plan.
  • Allis 1:100K initiative.
  • NCGMP accountability changes (Project outcomes, output database, mapping in progress database, annual list of published maps/reports, annual measure of square miles mapped, new website, etc.).
  • Changing the weighting percents in the Request for Proposal (RFP) evaluation criteria.
  • Should STATEMAP funds be used to enter geologic map data in the NGDB?
  • EDMAP - should we increase the number of students with each getting less money, decrease the number of students with each getting more money, or keep it as is?
  • Should we increase the yearly amount of money given to EDMAP?
